If you have been thinking about applying to the SCS internship (with yours truly) but felt stymied by a lack of transportation or because you live outside Las Vegas… this is your lucky day! It occurred to me that we do not have to see each other face-to-face to make this work. There’s technology for that! In fact, back in 2007/08 I had a more-or-less part-time writer helping me named Natalie Everett (who later went on to use SCS clips to help her land journalism gigs in California) and we have yet to ever be in the same room together. So, I am flexible on that point.
