Tuesday is the last day to register to vote

Are you registered to vote? I got this reminder from Planned Parenthood and I think it’s worth sharing:

April showers bring May flowers…AND the last day to register to vote in the primary election! I know it doesn’t rhyme, but it’s important! Tuesday, May 18, 2010 is the last day to register to vote, and you need to do that in person.

You can register at any Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles office or at your county clerk / registrar of voters’ office. Click here for a list of locations.

Early voting starts on May 22 and runs through June 4th. Click here for a list of early voting locations and times.

You may request to have an absentee ballot sent to you; your request must be received by June 1, 2010. You will need to fill out your absentee ballot and return it so that it is received on or BEFORE June 8th.

The primary election is Tuesday, June 8th. For a list of voting locations, you will need to contact your county clerk / registrar of voters.

We know it is a LOT of information. If the last year has shown us anything, it has shown us what a huge impact ONE elected official can have on women’s health. Our state is facing daunting challenges. That is why so many organizations and individuals are getting involved. Your vote is critical if we are going to get Nevada on the right track for women and families.

Please make sure you register and vote!
