Well, kids, I’m heading to the Midwest for a few days to visit some family. Chicago, St. Louis and, yes, a farm in between. What can I say? In every life a little Midwest has to happen. I have no idea if I will even have access to the internet when I’m on the farm. So please understand that if your comments get trapped in limbo, it’s not because I don’t love you.

As a native Ohioan, the only reasons to go to the midwest are 1) Chicago, 2) family or 3) layover. If you want to count Kansas City as midwest, you can throw in blues and barbecue, but you can get both in Chicago without having to enter Missouri.
