I like to think that regular Siren readers are a lot like me — fired up, progressive, awesome people. Now that I’m at PLAN (the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada), I get to work with some very awesome, passionate, progressive, fired-up people every day.

But we can’t do it alone.

With the Sin City Siren I’ve tried to create a web space that is about all the things I care about — sexism, bigotry, LGBT rights, the environment, helping the disenfranchised and engaging in the political process. Guess what? PLAN is about all those things and more!

If you love The Sin City Siren, maybe it’s time to think about taking it to the next level. Come volunteer for PLAN! We have a lot of exciting programs happening now ranging from registering new citizens to vote to educating folks about environmental issues. I’m sure we’ve got the perfect thing for you!

And if volunteering isn’t really your scene, maybe you’d consider making a monetary or in-kind donation to PLAN. With the down-turn in the economy, non-profits like PLAN are hit hard. And we survive on individual donations as well as those from businesses and organizations. I will be happy to make it easy for you to give money to PLAN! 🙂
