Yowza!

Anticlimactic primary gorge-athon (aka Super Tuesday) comes to a close. Left feeling … unfulfilled.

  • For conclusion on Dem results I go to the Magic 8 Ball. Outlook cloudy. Ask again later. Did Clinton pull enough ahead? Can Obama make up enough ground to still compete?
  • McCain brought the pain. Is it possible that we might get the least scary/most sane Republican for the nominee? I worry that lightning might strike me just for writing that.
  • Luckily, Romney and Huckabee seem to be stubbornly hanging in there, thus diffusing the Rep money pool and voting ranks. … Still no lightning yet? Perhaps there’s a just God after all.
  • Couldn’t help but notice my home state’s primary numbers. Roughly 400+ Dem voters in the Alaskan primary. And about 9,000-ish for the GOP. [sigh] And people wonder why I’m so twitchy around conservatives.
  • I am so tired of TV news I think I need to TV-fast for at least two days. But before I leave the topic, I will say that I liked the CBS primary map/election results graphic the best. By Far. They were the only ones I saw use a map to illustrate election results in an effective way. I have no idea why CNN and others did not do more of that. Maps people! Not lists. (Unless you’re a lazy blogger.)

  1. You probably could have had less annoyance using NPR as your primary-following source (though no maps). Funny, the R-J’s headline this morning on the front page made it sound like Hilary was the clear winner yesterday. I couldn’t help but laugh, especially since I read that AFTER hearing the proper results on KNPR, with that, what, less-than-one-percent difference between Hilary and Barack. Friggin’ R-J.

  2. Rest assured, McCain is plenty crazy. He’s not a theocrat so much as the others, though he is willing to pander to them, and some of his positions on a handful of issues are less draconian, but rest assured that he hates you just as much as George Bush does.
