In honor of National STD Awareness month, Planned Parenthood is offering $10 STD testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia as well as $10 rapid HIV testing. The special $10 testing day is Friday, April 29.

As many as one in two sexually active young people will contract an STD by age 25 — and most won’t know it.  Clark County’s chlamydia infection rates are the highest in the state at more than 400 per 100,000 population. In 2009, Nevada ranked 21^st in the U.S. in cumulative reported HIV cases, and Nevada ranked first for the number of women between the ages of 15-24 testing positive for gonorrhea.
