Plans are under way for Rally for Choice Las Vegas on Saturday, Feb. 26, at noon! This is part of the national, grassroots Walk for Choice campaign happening everywhere this Saturday! (We’re not walking.)

This event is in response to the GOP-led House vote to defund Planned Parenthood by denying them family planning funding under Title X. We must send a message to the Senate (hello, Harry, are you listening?) and the President that this is just a witch hunt against Planned Parenthood and will hurt millions of women! Federal law already prohibits Title X funding from being used to cover abortions — which is only 3% of PP’s services! This bill is not about abortions! This bill is about denying women the right to govern their own health care and family planning!

We’ll be meeting at the Planned Parenthood office on West Charleston with speakers, live-streaming of the event and skyping with Planned Parenthood with questions and stories!

So far we have some great organizations on board including Planned Parenthood of Southern Nevada (duh), ProgressNow Nevada and the Nevada Women’s Lobby! (PS: There’s still time to get on board! If you or your organization would like to sponsor/participate, please get in touch with me ASAP!)
