Dear Mass Media:

Please stop breathlessly airing/printing 24/7 coverage of Tiger Woods, his so-called comeback (don’t people have to stop talking about you for it to be a comeback?), replaying evidence of his indiscretions, showing footage of yelling out questions at him and/or his wife, showing photos of his mistresses, et al. Just stop. It’s annoying. It’s not a top new story! It’s trite. Worst of all, much like past coverage of people like Britney Spears, this just puts out toxic, parasitic shockwaves into our culture that we don’t need. There are a lot of things going on in the world that are way more important. For instance: the economy, Toyota’s mass recalls and what impact that will have on the economy, health care reform, the environment … the Olympics? … hell, I’d take puppies over Woods at this point.
