Mentionables

Things worth mentioning:

  • Obama will be the first to launch Presidential campaign ads in Nevada. [Update: Clinton announced her ads are starting, too.]
  • Speaking of Dem Prez hopefuls, I like The Minx’s take on the Clinton conspiracy du jour.
  • Nevada’s HDQ of the National Environmental Trust issued a statement Friday saying they applaud Sen. Reid and Rep. Berkley’s backing of the gas mileage bill. If passed, the bill would increase fuel efficiency by 40 percent(to a minimum 35 mpg) by 2020. Naturally, Reps. Porter and Heller (remember him?) oppose the bill, which would save tax payers money and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. And they’re not alone, since GW is already throwing a tantrum.
  • Don’t forget about local Vagina Monologues auditions Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. at Impact Studios (by the Blue Ox).
  • When it comes to sexual abuse, the wounds go deep and can often be hard to look at. I am moved that Violet Blue’s book dares to go there.
  • I’ve never met Kevin of Slant Truth 2.0, but his take-down of the Ten Politically Incorrect Truths About Human Nature is awesome. And can I just say, it’s also refreshing that it’s a man firing back about this for a change.
  • And as a college sports fan (Go Ducks!), I am glad to see that the University of Colorado has done the right thing and settled the 2001 case brought by women alleging sexual harassment and rape by CU football players. The whole thing sickened me and I’m sure CU is not the only college campus with such things going on. (NOW‘s got the full scoop.)

  1. WOW. OK, those “researchers” are wacked. I like that slant Truth pointed out all the factual errors. I’d like to add one more. In India and the Hispanic World (my roots) women with large hips, not big boobs, are considered more attractive.

just one more piece of amo against these idiots. And I mean real, above and beyond anything I’ve seen in a good long time, honest to god idiots.
