Hey everyone, the Nevada Conservation League is urging everyone to contact the governor and encourage him to sign a bill that would help save energy. Here’s the info (and by tomorrow, they mean today/Friday):
The legislature has passed AB 396 and the bill is now in front of the governor. The bill, sponsored by Assemblywoman Francis Allen, would allow condominium owners to install shutters on their homes to increase energy efficiency.
The deadline for all bills to be signed is midnight tomorrow.
Not only has the Governor still not signed this bill, he is considering vetoing it.

A few points to consider:
- Urge Governor Gibbons to sign AB 396. This bill increases energy efficiency for condominiums by blocking UV rays.
- Reducing energy usage in homes is an important step toward creating an energy efficient society. Small changes, like installing shutters, can make a huge difference.
- It is important that this bill becomes law. The governor must set a good example for other leaders and support energy efficiency by signing AB 396.

Thanks for posting our Action Alert! Unfortunately, Governor Gibbons, in his infinite wisdom, vetoed AB 396. This bill will be taken up again in the 2009 Legislative Session.
