As regular readers know, I’m running the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure here in Las Vegas on May 3. My first 5K! If you are so inclined, you can help me raise money for the cause by clicking here. A little shameless, I know, but it’s for a good cause.

I have decided all of these fundraisers are scheduled far too close together. I’m losing track of to whom I’m donating, but especially with the AIDS Walk (which I’m doing) and the Race for the Cure so close together, it feels like they are almost competing for dollars. Which sucks, because the only losers are those suffering with both diseases.
I just sponsored a friend who is racing in the Komen run as well, so for now, you’ll have to count in my spiritual sponsorship. 😉
Agreed! Although I think this scheduling problem is more of a problem here in Las Vegas than anywhere else I’ve lived. I think it’s a heat issue. We only have the spring and fall when we can actually get people out. But I totally agree that it sucks. I wanted to the AIDS walk and the Tour de Summerlin, but it’s all back-to-back. So it’s impossible, if you’re an out-of-shape type like me. (Or if you have a life.)
But thanks for the positive energy. I can use all the happy thoughts I can get! 🙂
