Put Your Foot Down and Raise Your Heels High!
Friday, March 28th marks the date to truly “Walk a Day in Her Shoes.” High school students at a local charter school, both males and females, will be striding down the hallways all day in high heels. This day is dedicated to making a statement of women empowerment, all while raising awareness about the issue of human trafficking.
All proceeds collected from this school fundraiser (organized by two high school seniors) will be donated to the local Las Vegas grassroots organization Purple W.I.N.G.S., an organization that focuses its attention on human trafficking prevention and mentoring underprivileged and at-risk teenage girls.
We are requesting donations of larger-sized high heel shoes so males can strut during this event. Donations of shoes will be accepted until Thursday, March 27th. There will be a donation box located at The Center (401 S Maryland Pkwy, Las Vegas, NV 89101). Please look for a box with a “Walk a Day in Her Shoes” flyer attached.
