A little late in posting this, but hey, points for trying. Here’s the advisory from ProgressNow Nevada about the gun violence summit planned for this Saturday (yes, that means tomorrow). RSVP deadline is TODAY!
The one-day summit will include training sessions in lobbying and organizing as well as background information about Nevada laws and gun violence statistics. (For instance, did you know that Nevada’s gun-death rate is 40 percent higher than the national average?)
ADVISORY: ProgressNow Nevada, CAP Action to Host Summit on Gun Violence Prevention
Las Vegas, NV – On Saturday, January 25, ProgressNow Nevada will partner with the Center for American Progress Action Fund to host the Nevada Gun Violence Prevention Strategy Summit. At the summit, Nevadans concerned about gun violence will gather to discuss necessary reforms in gun policy at the local, state, and national levels.
